The innovative ability is one of core targets of talents training scheme of colleges and universities. Most of independent colleges haven´t been established more than a decade and the students of independent college are enrolled by the third batch of undergraduate enrollment. Because of the students lacking self-learning ability and study consciousness, most of the teachers lacking teaching experience, the investment in scientific research and laboratory facilities being inadequate, training students´ innovative ability of computer science and technology which is noted computer science simply of independent college is severely restricted. This paper firstly analyzes the status and obstacles related to training innovative ability and the relationship between the innovative ability and innovative consciousness, learning and practice ability. Then, a pattern for training students´ innovative ability systematically is proposed. And the practices and effects for using this pattern to train students´ innovative ability of computer science of independent college are presented. The experimental results show that this pattern could be better for the students´ innovative ability of computer science.
