Abstract :
A port has to consider others in the port group when making its strategy under complicated environment. This paper introduces a scientific method for ports on how to make the best bidding decision. First, the multivariate statistics clustering analysis is utilized to analyze the port group´s competition hierarchy. And the level of the port is determined. Then Tianjin Port is analyzed as an empirical study. Secondly, the Bertrand price game model is adopted to analyze the competitive and cooperative situation of two ports from the same level. At last, a conclusion is reached that the revenue under cooperation is higher than that of competition, and the higher the two ports´ substitute degree is, the more revenue will cooperation bring.
