Abstract :
Transmission of 5 Ã 62 Gbit/s polarization multiplexed coherent OFDM is demonstrated over 80 km SSMF. Using 64-QAM and 16-QAM simultaneously allows reducing the channel spacing and makes a net spectral efficiency of 7.2 bit/s/Hz possible.
