Abstract :
A hybrid polarization division multiplexing (PDM) technique was demonstrated for 40 Gb/s RZ-DPSK signal without polarization tracking receiver (PTR). Long-term Q-factor measurements and DGD tolerance study showed performance similar to offset PDM and regular PDM with PTR.
