Abstract :
We have experimentally demonstrated 42.8 Gb/s DWDM transmission over 3900 km SMF-28 with 12.5-GHz channel spacing and coherent detection. Eight polarization-multiplexed-RZ-QPSK signals have been successfully transmitted over 3000 and 3900-km SMF-28 with BER< 8 × 10-4 and 2 × 10-3, repetitively.
