Abstract :
This column summarizes the recent endeavors undertaken in search of adequate characterization of the human eye´s optics that involves application of various levels of signal processing tools. In particular, we focus on temporal changes in tear film and natural microfluctuations in a steady-state accommodation-the two factors that have the greatest influence on optical quality of the human eye.
