  • Abstract
    A battery charger with a high-voltage IC in a new IC process is described. The IC operates directly from the rectified mains. Power conversion is performed by applying a switched mode power supply in a so-called one-transistor fly-back topology. The article describes system aspects, special devices in the process and special circuit aspects of the high-voltage IC.
