Abstract :
This paper describes the system integration for the baseband processing in the paneuropean digital mobile radio system. Principles of the baseband functions are discussed. As a system solution a 16 bit signal processor is presented which combines the advantages of an advanced processor structure (multi-bus Harvard architecture) with the efficiency and performance of application specific hardware on one VLSI chip.
