Abstract :
A cell based design system for bipolar circuits is described. The system uses the same software tools developed for a CMOS cell based system. Gate delays of 220pS, toggle frequencies up to 1GHz and circuit complexities of up to 3,000 equivalent gates on a standard 3 micron bipolar technology are achievable.
