Abstract :
A new smart temperature transducer with on-chip interface circuitry for microprocessors is presented. The output signal is a duty-cycle modulated square-wave voltage, which is accurately related to the temperature. This transducer has been designed for the temperature range of -20°C to 100°C and has an accuracy of ±0.5°C, a resolution of 0.1°C and a single supply voltage of 5V. The calibration is performed in a single-step trimming during fabrication.
