Abstract :
Wideband digital telephone systems allowing simultaneous voice and data transmission are currently of significant interest. The maximum channel length, which is limited by echo and distortion on the lines, can be greatly improved by the use of adaptive equalizers which automatically cancel these undesirable effects. This paper describes a compact 65-point prototype monolithic adaptive equalizer that has been realised in CCD/MOS technology.
