Abstract :
Accumulators are used for sampled data signal processing. They can be implemented either with switched capacitors /1/ or with charge transfer devices /2/. Switched capacitor accumulators offer the advantage of simple MOS technology and higher operating frequencies since no shift register operations are necessary but only potential equilibration between capacitors is required to obtain the desired transfer function, furthermore transfer losses do not modify the attenuation characteristics.
