Abstract :
An original approach to real-time implementation of simulated annealing is demonstrated. A simple optoelectronic system provides an array of independent gaussian noise sources. A cellular analog circuit implements the stochastic algorithms. A prototype chip was realised in a 1¿m CMOS digital technology. It was successfully operated at 20,000 iterations per second.
