Abstract :
The multimedia network teaching is a new means and method for college English teaching, is also a new way to China´s college English teaching reform. Constructivists believe learning is obtained by the two-way interaction of new knowledge and learners´ existing knowledge. To stimulate students´ interest in learning English, they emphasis on learning initiative and contextuality, student-centered, the design of the learning environment, students as learning object and teachers just playing the guiding role. College English teaching under multimedia network environment should pay attention to handling the relationship between the traditional classroom teaching and network teaching and the flexible use of teaching methods and other issues.
