Abstract
In this paper, a new channel assignment strategy based on hierarchy interference model for the cognitive wireless mesh networks (CogWMN) is proposed. In order to choose the best path, the strategy first stratifies CogWMN and sets the value of weights according to layers, and then chooses the best channel based on channel hierarchy interference model. The new strategy effectively combines routing and channel assignment methods. By the route to assist in the realization of channel allocation of nodes, the entire network obtains the optimum performance. Simulation results show that compared to the link-based channel allocation algorithm in wireless multi-channel network, the new algorithm has an obvious advantage in the performance of delay and throughput.
