Abstract
Based on the analysis of ArcGIS network model and the features of city traffic, this paper designs a road network model, which can describe the forbidden rules of the city traffic (no straight driving, no left turning, no turning around, etc.). By this model, the traditional Dijkstra algorithm gets some improvements, the problem on the optimal route induction without violating the forbidden rules of the city traffic is resolved, and its improved algorithm is worked out by programming.
