Abstract
Digital image mosaic can be defined as image registration and fusion of lots of overlapping digital images or multiple video frames into a single wide field of view image or dynamic panoramic image. It is brought for the limitation of camera visual angle, which is impossible to shoot a panorama image once. So the research of such a robust mosaic panorama technique for video is necessary and possible. In this paper, a robust mosaic panorama technique for video is proposed. We describe the panorama mosaic process, involving the following main tasks. At the start, we describe the feature-based motion estimator to obtain the video motion parameters. After that, for the purpose of removing the foreground objects, the input frames are combined into the panorama. Experimental results show the proposed method can be successfully provided with the video mosaic panorama capability.
