Abstract
In this study, a model of a solar floor heating system with an underground seasonal storage is presented to determine the transient temperature of water in the storage tank and the transient temperature of ground surrounding the storage tank. The effects of parameters such as the solar collector area, storage volume, the building loss coefficient and the operating time of the floor heating system every day on the performance of the system considered in this study are analyzed. The results show that the lowest storage size gives the lowest solar fraction. The annual solar fraction of the system increases with increase of the solar collector area.
