The experimental studies on static tensile properties of vanadium alloy V-5Cr-5Ti were carried out at strain rates from 10-5s-1 to 10-1s-1 at room temperature. The stress-strain curves, ultimate tensile strength and tensile failure strains of V-5Cr-5Ti for various strain rates were obtained experimentally. From the experimental results the rate dependent constitutive relations for given strain rate range were established in this work. The obtained constitutive parameters and failure strain were validated comparison between experimental phenomenon and numerical simulation. The metallographic texture and fractograph were analyzed as well.
