Using iSIGHT and ABAQUS software, this paper illustrates a finite element method and process for optimizing rubber bushing material and structural parameters, in order to meet specific stiffness characteristics. Finally, as an example of this methodology, a particular rubber bushing is presented to verify the validity of the optimization method by comparing the optimized result with the raw one.
