This paper presents a numerical simulation of high speed separated flows using filtered dissipation method. Filtered dissipation combines a filter and a nonlinear dissipation part of a shock capturing scheme. Computations are performed over different 2D configurations which include compression corner and backward facing step respectively. It is seen that the adjustment of the constants appearing in the method is important to get low dissipative solution results. Finally, computed results are compared with the available experimental data, and it is found that the present method provides accurate and low dissipative results.
