Abstract :
This article presents a computer software for insulation co-ordination, according to IEC 60071-2. The calculation steps for the insulation co-ordination, based on the highest voltage of equipment according to IEC 60071-1, in order to achieve the standard rated withstand voltage and satisfy the users´ requirement are very complicate. This software reduces the complexity of insulation co-ordination calculation process without the need of detail knowledge and methodologies covered in the body of the standard.
