Abstract

China has been one of the countries with the biggest manufacturing industry in the world. An advanced or a world-class manufacturing is a pursued target for Chinese industries. An advanced manufacturing can be set up through the modern automation systems. And a modern automation system is built with a multi-layer network structure, which includes ERP, MES and FCS. All the three layers are depended on embedded systems in technology and practice. This paper is to focus on analyzing the relationship between advanced manufacturing and embedded systems, and discussing the influence of embedded systems and their networks for the development of an advanced manufacturing, especially in China.
