Abstract
This paper presents a global dynamic scheduling approach for file transfer, which incorporates the two optimizations of multi-hop path splitting and multi-pathing, This algorithm makes use of information from past GridFTP transfers to estimate network bandwidths and resource availability. the paper also describe the designing and implementing a service-oriented architecture that incorporates the two key optimizations within the GridFTP file transfer protocol. The experimental results show that this algorithm and architecture achieve significant performance improvement.
