Abstract

By use of bibliometric analysis, 134 articles published in national and international journals on meiofauna between 1980-2009 from two databases: China Academic Journals Full-text Database and Science Citation Index Expanded, are studied and categorized with the help of a reference software called NoteExpress. The research covers the following areas. 1. Statistics of publication years of articles. 2. Statistics on the number of articles written by different authors. 3. Statistics on Journals publishing articles on meiofauna. 4. Statistics on research contents of articles on meiofauna. The aim is to provide information for scholars in China and worldwide to help them get a grasp of research status of meiofauna studies in China.
