  • Abstract
    A room temperature 4.5µm laser is reported in Er: KPb2Cl5 crystals using 0.8µm diode excitation. Long fluorescent lifetimes lead to important ETU and ESA processes. The impact of these excitation channels on laser performance is assessed.
