Abstract :
We present a simple nonlinear compression setup based on a 70-µm diameter rod-type fiber amplifier seeded by a 12-W, 1.1-ps Yb:YAG modelocked thin-disk laser. We generate 55 W of compressed sub-100-fs pulses at 11.6 MHz.
