Abstract :
The Letter proposes a new technique for measuring the Raman gain coefficient in optical fibers by using the Spontaneous Raman spectrum. This method has an attractive advantage in that it can provide us with an easy operation to measure the Raman gain efficiency of optical fibers. We demonstrated that the Raman gain efficiency could be measured easily, accurately and fast.
