  • Abstract
Three-dimensional, unsteady Navier-Stokes equations have been solved to calculate the mixing between secondary injections at three different injection angles interact with the supersonic primary flow within the Hypersonic Low Temperature (HYLTE) nozzle. Results show that contact surface strentching and streamwise vortices especially counter vortex pairs (CVP) dominate and accelerate mixing. And the angle of injection is the key parameter to affect the mixing characteristics. Optimum incident angle and nozzle performance have to be found for engineering applications.
