Abstract
This work presents the scattering field analysis of a real wind turbine using asymptotic and rigorous techniques for the electromagnetic analysis of complex structures. Several simulations taking into account different configurations and frequencies have been performed to compare results obtained by the electromagnetic techniques, as a previous stage to study the influence in the telecommunication systems of wind farms. The wind turbines are modelled by parametric surfaces to take into account the real shape. Two codes have been used to accomplish this: FASANT [1]-[2], a computer tool based on GTD/UTD [3] approach and MONURBS [4], a computer tool based on MoM and PO [5] approach that uses MLFMA [6]-[7] and MPI [8] paradigm. The results obtained with the codes and the CPU-time and computer memory required are shown.
