Abstract :
This paper presents a novel reduced size dual-band with good gain quadifilar helix antenna using meandering and folding the helix arms technique to obtain Compact Printed Quadrifilar Helix Antenna (called C-PQHA). With this design, the axial length of conventional PQHA is reduced by 43% making it practical to be implemented on to GPS satellite and it creates the dual frequency resonance that allows operation in some application uplink and downlink band. In addition, the gain remains positive between these two bands and radiating patterns are still good even at higher frequencies.
