Abstract
The effect of common dynamic changes such as opening and closing doors or windows, as well as minor floor alternations in buildings on an electromagnetic wave propagation environment is studied in this paper. A sample scenario is used in order to show how these situations over the course of an ordinary work day influence wave propagation. Both signal coverage and impulse response are predicted in order to obtain more complete information about the environment. A 3D semi-deterministic model considering all significant physical phenomena influencing wave propagation is used. Simulation results are noted and their actual influence on wireless system performance is evaluated.
