Abstract :
In this paper, we present a parameter study of the port-to-port isolation of two UMTS Planar Inverted-F Antennas (PIFAs) versus the length and the width of the ground plane where they are placed. From those results, an efficient multiPIFA system suitable for a clamshell type UMTS mobile phone is designed, fabricated and measured.
