Abstract

In this paper, measurements from various narrowband and wideband Land Mobile Satellite (LMS) and Satellite Aeronautical experimental campaigns that have been homogeneously pre-processed and re-analysed in order to derive concise statistical results for submission to ITU-R statistical databanks. A number of problems in the processing steps were identified and various methods were applied to minimise the effect on the results, for instance, the calibration of the Line of Sight (LOS) level, the accuracy of position and attitude of transmitter and receiver or problems with bandwidth and frequency synchronisation/drifts for wideband measurements.
