Abstract
Thermal and gravitational effects result in important distortions on the surface of the large reflector antennas and thus in the degradation of the antenna pattern. The behavior of the distorted reflector can be improved by using different techniques to compensate the reflector distortions. This paper presents a new non iterative approach to synthesize shaped subreflectors to achieve such a compensation. The method is not based in any optimization nor repeated calculation process, achieving very low calculation times when applied to large antennas.
