Abstract :
An overview of the recent advances in the analysis, design and demonstration of reflectarray antennas conducted by UPM has been presented. The analysis technique based on local periodicity and SD-MoM has been used to analyse different reflectarray antennas, including single and dual-reflector configurations, and it has been used in the design of reflectarray antennas to fulfil stringent requirements of broad-band, dual-frequency, multiple beams or contoured beams. Several demonstrators for DBS and point-to-multipoint antennas have shown the capabilities of reflectarray antennas. Finally, the potential of reflectarray antennas to scan or reconfigure the beam using liquid crystals is presented.
