Abstract :
This paper consists in a unified and comparative presentation of various scattering load-modulated systems. This generic designation covers different conceptual approaches, which are based on the same scattering mechanisms. Until now, these approaches have been rather separately conducted. Possible synergy opportunities are analysed in view of microwave sensing applications of practical relevance. Beyond the available state of the art, new procedures are suggested to overcome the limitations of current systems.
