Abstract :
An evaluation of geometrical nonlinear effects on three pylons composite girder cable-stayed bridge is presented. According to the structure and mechanical characteristics, a space twin-girder finite element model of whole bridge is established through general large-scale finite element analysis software ANSYS, sag effect, and large displacement and beam-column effects are considered, the nonlinear static response of three pylons composite girder cable-stayed bridge is calculated under dead load. the results show that sag effects on cables force is most obvious, large displacement and beam-column effects on main girders deflection and internal force is larger, all nonlinear effects are mutually coupled and should be taken into account for structure design of three pylons composite girder cable-stayed bridge.
