Abstract
In this paper, the time series data of sea surface temperature in the region of central Pacific is used to analyze the wavelet power spectrum and its time frequency characteristics have been exacted. On the basis of comprehensive analysis of the time series data and changing characteristics of physical factors such as atmospheric circulation, the judgment of La Nina climate events becomes more accurate. The relationship between La Nina climate events and the extreme weather conditions in southeast China is also discussed in this paper.
