Abstract :
This paper describes the development of GTBoT, a multipurpose robot platform. The design of this robot includes mechanical, electrical and software development. The key features of the robot are the indoor operation, low costs and easiness to use and to repair. The main issues solved in the present project are about the autonomous navigation using an algorithm for recognizing the surrounding environmental. There is a construction system within the robot, used for applications that need collection and construction. As a result, this robot took part on the international competition of robotics, Eurobot 2009.
