Abstract :
In this paper, we have studied a clipper combining receiver cascaded self-normalizing receiver(CSR) for a fast frequency-hopped binary frequency-shift-keying spread-spectrum system with non-worst-case partial-band noise jamming(PBNJ) and additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN). In the case of moderate and strong power of PBNJ, the cascaded combining receiver is found to be superior to the linear combining receiver(LCR), the self-normalizing receiver(SNR) and the product combining receiver (PCR), and the CSR has higher diversity gain than the PCR and the SNR, moreover, in this situation, simulation shows the best clipper level is equal to the power of desired signal. As the power of PBNJ decreases, the CSR is not sensitive to the increase of clipper level when it is greater than the power of desired signal, and the CSR with high diversity presents poorer BER results due to the non-coherent combining loss.
