  • Abstract
    A new method of the rural road network layout designing in a county area is presented, which called generating algorithm of rectilinear Steiner tree. The method firstly takes rural road network nodes of the county-level as given points, with which an initial rectilinear Steiner tree is built. Then a U-structure method is used to check and modify the initial rectilinear Steiner tree to get the minimum rectilinear Steiner trees, with which the connection relation among the road network nodes at all levels is solved. Subsequently, through overlaying the existent road network in the regional, the initial rural road network layout is obtained. And combined with the non-line coefficient, boundary constraints and connectivity reliability of road network in optimization, a final layout of rural highway network can be decided. Finally, the method is applied to the rural road network layout designing of Shayang County.
