            Abstract : 
The operation mechanism of ecological community in natural world gives us a lot of inspiration in exploring the complex interactions and dynamical evolution of a socioeconomic system. Generalized Ecological Community (GEC) is the defined concept of such a community, which has the common rules and characteristics existing both in natural ecosystem and socioeconomic system. With the example of the innovation community in IT-driven emerging industry, this paper presented the GEC model to describe its operation mechanism and evolution process, and analyzed its succession model. Research findings in this paper provide a new methodology and useful tool for the analysis of socioeconomic system.
