Abstract
This paper presents a new measure of scale for images. The measure combines entropy and spatial auto-correlation to establish a synthetical method for estimating scale of an image. Spatial and gray-value property is taken into account in the information content measure. The experimental results show that the proposed method produces appropriate measure of both spatial and gray information for different images.
