Abstract :
Domain concept clustering is an important component in the fields of information organization and domain ontology construction. However, some limitations exist in traditional concept clustering for certain domain concept clustering. For example, the disordered concept hierarchy and related concept extraction are disadvantageous for further precise clustering. To overcome these drawbacks, in this paper, a novel domain concept clustering method is proposed: the domain concept is firstly obtained by extending the index terms in text classification, then it is divided into many small clusters by using affinity propagation clustering (AP), finally, with the guidance of the domain ontology, the hierarchy relationship between domain concepts is further clarified to realize the precise clustering. The simulation experiment results show that this method is more effective than the previously existing algorithms and classic concept clustering techniques.
