Abstract :
As part of a larger study on preserivice teachers´ learning to teach over three semesters, the findings presented in this paper indicate that the preservice teachers´ first-hand learning experiences of using various forms of information technology in the cohort structured blended learning environments provide them with empowering opportunities for a) sustaining the structured learning community and b) creating self-initiated and self-directed learning communities where they develop shared experience and growing expertise for technology integration. Implications for teacher education programs and suggestions for future research are discussed.
