Abstract :
An approach for building the database of heterogeneous materials with a periodic microstructure is developed in this paper with the help of database management system, a performance estimation module, and a microstrucutre design module. Using this approach, material data of HMPMs can be managed availably, material properties of HMPMs can be estimated effectively, and unknown microstructures of HMPMs can be designed correctly for obtaining the special material properties. Thus, this approach is an effective database creation method for HMPMs, which simplifies the database building process of HMPMs, greatly reduces the research time of HMPMs, and has the important guiding significance for developing the unknown HMPMs.
