Abstract :
A kind of asymmetric V ridge waveguide is presented. Variations of the cut-off wavelength, single-mode bandwidth with the ridge dimensions and the ridge position for different values of dielectric constant are investigated in detail. The field patterns of the dominant are presented. The correctness of the numerical results is verified. The results provide an extension to the existing design data for ridge waveguide and considered helpful in practical applications.
