  • Abstract
    This paper analysis the principle of GAF clustering algorithm, extends the GAF algorithm to three-dimensional underwater acoustic communication networks and proposes a clustering algorithm based on the GAF called BGAF. In the cluster-heads selection phase, the BGAF gives full consideration to the importance of the node residual energy and the distance between the node and the sink node and introduces the transit nodes mechanism which makes the average distribution of energy consumption throughout the network. In this paper, simulation results verify the rationality of the algorithm, the algorithm reduces the energy consumption across the network nodes and balances the network load and extends the network life cycle.
