Investigation on relevance between test score and cultural background

Cultural background refers to the material culture and spiritual cultural environment which have impact on people´s physical and mental development and character formation. There are some relationship within college english learning and student´s cultural background. To figure out the relevance between college english course test score and cultural background, an investigation about these two factors based on linear regression analysis is presented in this paper. Linear regression analysis is introduced and the figures of correlation between test score and cultural background are ploted following the test score records and cultural background index. The scatter diagram and linear regression analysis of four classes indicate that the college english course test score tightly related to the cultural background.
